Public sources: company websites, press coverage and funding announcements. Every company shows the source its core facts came from. Facts that were corrected later show their own source and the date they were checked.

## What role does AI play?

AI helps research and organize public information. It can be incomplete or out of date, so check the linked sources before an important decision.

## What does Collecting mean?

We don't have a sourced value for that field yet. We leave it empty instead of guessing.

## What does last verified mean?

The date a person or a cited research pass checked a fact against its source. Most facts are not verified yet and say Collecting. Where a single fact was checked, the page shows the source and the date.

## Can a company pay to rank higher?

No. Rankings come from the data, and vendor-supplied facts are always labeled.

## Does the Index cover all finance software?

No. It is a growing list, not a complete one. Not being listed is not a judgment, and charts built from it say when a set is a selection.

## Does the site use cookies?

No. Analytics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. The compare tray remembers your picks in your own browser and sends nothing anywhere.
